Fuel price in Sri Lanka will drop from midnight today: Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera has issued a notification regarding the change in fuel prices.

After the discussion with the President, the Minister had informed that there will be a change in the fuel price revision system as per the fuel price formula from midnight today.

The minister had said this in the special media conference that is currently taking place.

Accordingly,

• The price of 92 octane petrol has been reduced by Rs 60 and its new price is Rs 340.
• The price of 95 octane petrol has been reduced by Rs 135 and its new price is Rs 375.
• The price of Super Diesel has been reduced by Rs 45 and its new price is Rs 465.
• The price of Auto Diesel has been reduced by Rs 80 and its new price is Rs 325.
• The price of kerosene has been reduced by Rs 10 and its new price is Rs 295.

It is said that the fuel price which will be revised in the first week of April will be revised in advance, and it will be possible to get fuel at a lower price from 12 midnight today. So don't wait in long queues for fuel, he said.

He also said that the next price revision will take place in the first week of May.
