The delivery of Indian eggs imported from India to Sri Lanka will start today (29).

The Sri Lankan State Trading Various Statutory Corporation said that the delivery operations will begin this evening.

Earlier, it was decided to distribute imported eggs only to bakery manufacturers.

Accordingly, eggs will be sold to bakery manufacturers at Rs.35.

It is further informed that the imported egg can be stored in the refrigerator for 90 days.
