Consumers Demand More: Milk Powder Price Cuts Deemed Insufficient

Consumers are expressing dissatisfaction with the recent price cuts of milk powder, deeming them insufficient. In addition to the price reduction of Milk Powder, the prices of imported 1 kg milk powder have been lowered by 150 rupees, and 400 gram milk powder by 60 rupees.

Milk Powder importers attribute the decision to the strengthening of the Sri Lankan rupee against the US dollar. Responding to the price reduction of Milk Powder, the National Consumer Front has urged restaurant owners to lower the price of milk tea by 80 rupees. Meanwhile, the All Sri Lanka Canteen Owners Association has implemented a reduction of 10 rupees in the price of milk tea.
