700 children killed by unexploded bombs

In 2022, more than 700 children were killed by unexploded ordnance used in the war, UNICEF for Afghanistan said.

Last week, 8 people were killed by unexploded bombs in the country. The incident took place when they were playing with them and collecting metal pieces for sale, it said.

Landmines, unexploded artillery shells, explosives and other such weapons have killed many people, including children, in the country.
