A private class mathematics teacher has been arrested today (11) morning for abusing and sexually harassing 16 female students in Kalutara region.

The person was arrested when he came to the Kalutara Division Child and Women Abuse Prevention Bureau to give a statement.

The Kalutara Children and Women Abuse Prevention Bureau said that they have received 16 video recordings of the suspect sexually abusing the girls, and further investigations will be conducted to identify the victimized girls after observing them.

Further investigations are being carried out as to whether the suspected teacher who conducts private classes in Kalutara North Kallupparai conducts classes in small groups elsewhere and abuses the girls there as well.
