History of VEGA EVX Car

The Vega EVX is developed by Vega Innovations, a Sri Lankan automaker. The Vega EVX Car is battery powered. This is a two seater AWD Sports Model Car.. This Vega EVX Car is the first Sports Model Car manufactured in Sri Lanka and the first Electric Sports Car manufactured in South Asia.

Development of VEGA EVX Car

Vega Innovation was founded in 2013 by Dr. Harsha Subashinghe and Dr. Founded by Beshan Kulapala. In 2015, Vega Innovation launched its first car, VEGA EVX. It produced 900 horsepower (671 kW; 912PS). It is designed to be able to reach 100Km parallel (62mph) in 3.5 seconds.

In 2017 VEGA EVX prototype car was developed with their specific resources. It is expected to start its commercial production in the following years. Initially it was decided to produce only 25 units.

Introduction of VEGA EVX Car

A prototype of the subsequent versions of the VEGA EVX was to be unveiled at the 2020 Geneva Motor Show. But it was canceled due to COVID-19. However it was launched at the same Geneva Motor Show via live stream.

Performance of VEGA EVX Car

VEGA Innovation claims that the VEGA EVX will accelerate from 0-100 km/h in under two seconds and reach a top speed of 380 km/h. It also mentions that its battery range can go up to 750 km.
