Castlereagh Reservoir water level Gradual increase : An official in charge of the reservoir said that due to heavy rains in the western slopes of the central highlands, the water level of Castlereagh Reservoir is gradually increasing.

The official said that the areas around Castlereagh Reservoir, which supplies water to several hydropower plants in the central highlands, were experiencing heavy rains during the evening, and due to these conditions the water level in the reservoir has risen by 3 feet.

The official further informed that steps have been taken to divert the blocked water in this reservoir to the hydroelectric power plants that generate electricity.
