A nationwide strike start today all over the Sri Lanka

The United Trade Union Coordinating Center has announced that many services in the port, banks, teachers, government, semi-government and private sectors will go on strike today.

It has been reported that they will engage in protest activities such as a nationwide strike, letter work, protest marches, and wearing black clothing.

At the same time, if the government does not take action to resolve their demands, the trade union action will be taken seriously, Sri Lanka Bank Employees Union President Channa Dissanayake said.

Today (01), it has been announced that around 40 unions will participate in the trade union action and demonstrations to be carried out in 12 places.
