Sri Lanka Tourism Sees Surge as 23,000 Tourists Visit in Just 6 Days

Sri Lanka's tourism industry has witnessed an impressive surge as 23,000 tourists visited the country within the first six days of September, as reported by the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority.

Among these visitors, 6,188 were Indian nationals, while other nationalities included 1,693 individuals from the United Arab Kingdom, 1,513 from Germany, 1,434 from Russia, and 1,127 from Australia. Additionally, the Tourism Development Authority noted that 1,114 tourists from China also explored Sri Lanka this month.

The remarkable influx of visitors in September adds to the already substantial number of tourists, with 136,405 visiting in August and a total of 927,214 tourists so far this year.
