Sri Lanka vs New Zealand: The first Test is suspended due to rain : Today's final day of the first Test cricket match between the touring Sri Lankan team and the New Zealand team has been interrupted by rain.

When play was called off yesterday, New Zealand, playing its second innings, had scored 28 runs for the loss of one wicket. Tom Latham was unbeaten on 11 runs and Kane Williamson was unbeaten on 7 runs.

Sri Lanka scored 355 runs in the first innings of this match and New Zealand scored 373 runs in the first innings. Sri Lanka scored only 302 runs in the second innings.

Accordingly, the New Zealand team entered the field with the target of winning if they score 285 runs in the second innings. New Zealand need to score 257 runs today to win this match.
