IMF Consideration of Funding for Sri Lanka

The International Monetary Fund has focused on helping Sri Lanka without China's debt restructuring certificate.

Bloomberg has stated that the International Monetary Fund can provide funds to Sri Lanka without China's financial guarantee because only China's guarantee prevents the International Monetary Fund from providing funds to Sri Lanka.

In this situation, it is reported that discussions are being held to grant permission for loans under the special scheme.

Lenders including India and the Paris Community have given Sri Lanka a debt restructuring certificate.
