Government Employees to Receive Salary Hike in April: Relief Measures and Pension Increase Announced

The government has announced that a salary hike for government employees will be implemented starting from April. State Minister for Finance, Ranjith Siyambalapitiya, stated that an increased salary of 10,000 rupees will be provided to government employees before the 10th of April.

Furthermore, the minister also mentioned that relief in the form of 10 kg of rice will be distributed to low-income earners before the 10th of April.

In addition to the salary hike, the state minister confirmed that the increased pension payment of Rs 2,500 will be disbursed to pensioners from April.
