Do you know about this amazing feature of Apple Watch

Smart watch that saves lives: Do you know about this amazing feature of iPhone?

If you're using any of the iPhone 14, Apple Watch Series 8, Apple Watch SE (2nd generation), and Apple Watch Ultra models, you'll also get the Car Accident Detection feature. This helps you connect with emergency services immediately after you've been in a car accident.

Which vehicles will Apple's car accident detection feature adapt to?

The crash detection feature is designed to detect front-impact, side-impact and rear-end collisions and rollovers—severe crashes of vehicles such as sedans, minivans, SUVs, pickup trucks, and more.

How does the car crash detection feature work?

The crash detection feature is enabled by default on your iPhone 14 models. So if the car you're driving crashes, it will vibrate around and display a warning saying, "Looks like you've been in an accident." Then the iPhone or Apple Watch will sound an alarm and display an emergency call slider on the screen.

If you have self-awareness you can push off its slide and call for emergency help. If you are unconscious or unable to pick up the phone, your device will automatically call emergency services after 20 seconds.

Plus, if you've added emergency contacts, your device sends them a message of your location and lets them know you've been in a bad car accident.

Sometimes the crash detection feature may turn on incorrectly during roller-coaster rides and send messages. Don't carry your phone or watches only on such occasions. Or just turn off car accident alerts and automatic emergency calls in settings. But after that don't forget to turn it on.
