All steps have been taken to conduct local elections

The Election Commission informed the Supreme Court that all necessary steps have been taken to conduct the local body elections.

The Election Commission has announced that nominations for the local council elections will be accepted from January 18 to 21.

Election Commission Chairman S.G. Bunjihewa had said that local government elections would be held before March 15 to enable the establishment of all 340 local councils by March 19.
