The new system for payment of water charges
The Water Supply and Drainage Board has taken steps to introduce a scheme for providing and paying water bills through a new system.
According to this, the general manager of the said council, Piyal Padmanatha mentioned that this program will be started in the Jaffna district on the 17th.
Through this, the customers will get the opportunity to pay the monthly bill amount through the water bill ticket issuing machine and pay the water bills through bank cards, he said.
He further informed that this program which will be started as a pilot program is expected to be implemented nationwide in the near future.
