Country will go dark for half an hour today against tariff hike

Omalbe Sobitha Thera has requested the people to switch off all the lights across the country from 6.30 pm to 7 pm today (8) against the increase in electricity tariff

He added:

“Please hold a silent protest against this. We can protest after turning off the lights for half an hour.”

Meanwhile, on the full moon day yesterday (06), many parties including Maha Shankara had expressed their opposition to the power cut.
