Tik Tok is also banned in US Louisiana and West Virginia
In the United States, government agencies in Louisiana and West Virginia have banned the use of TikTok

Last Wednesday, a voice vote passed a bill banning the use of Tik Tok on government-owned devices to ensure that US government employees cannot use the Chinese-owned video app Tik Tok on government-owned devices.

A bill was brought in Parliament to ban TikTok in the US. Republican Mando and House Republican Mike Radhakrishnan Murthy, a Democrat, introduced a bill to ban TikTok.

Several federal agencies, including the White House and the Departments of Defense, Homeland Security and State, have already banned TikTok from government-owned devices.

PPI Director Chris Ray has said that TikTok poses a threat to national security as the Chinese government has the potential to spy on Americans.

Speaking at a recent event at the University of Michigan, Chris Ray, director of the US intelligence agency, said, "TikTok is a company controlled by the Chinese government. Its operation is controlled by the Chinese government. Therefore, the Chinese government can manipulate TikTok's contents and dominate its operations if it so wishes. Also, if TikTok receives information from Americans, it is possible that it will be shared with the Chinese government. This information allows the Chinese government to spy on Americans. Therefore, it is a major national security threat and hence there are chances that Tiktok will be banned soon in the US as well,” he said.
